ช่วงนี้เขาเรียนกันไปถึงไหนแล้ว?

Next, an example of a polite form when we talk to people who are older than us.

ต่อไปเป็นตัวอย่างที่สุภาพเวลาเราคุยกับคนที่อายุมากกว่าเรา
We had to walk two kilometres back to the hotel.

ต้องเดินกลับโรงแรมสองกิโลอะ
It must be a friend of the same age.

ต้องเป็นเพื่อนรุ่นเดียวกัน
Then you can use the impolite form of the words “you” and “I”.

ถึงจะใช้คำว่า มึง กู ได้
If I remember correctly, it takes about sixteen hours of travel.

ถ้าผมจำไม่ผิดนะใช้เวลาเดินทางประมาณสิบหกชั่วโมง
if the woman we are talking to is younger than us

ถ้าเกิดว่าผู้หญิงคนที่เราคุยด้วย เขาอายุน้อยกว่า
if we meet someone that we do not know

ถ้าเกิดว่าเราเจอคนที่ยังไม่รู้จักเนี่ย
If it happens that it’s er...“you” (for a woman older than speaker’s mother) or “you” (for a woman younger than speaker’s mother)

ถ้าเกิดเป็น เอ่อ.. เป็นป้าหรือว่าเป็นน้า
if being a person of the same level and of the same age

ถ้าเกิดเป็นคนในระดับเดียวกัน คือวัยเดียวกัน
If it is a woman, she will refer to herself using the word “I” (for women).

ถ้าเป็นผู้หญิง เขาจะเรียกตัวเองว่าดิฉัน
If anyone is not able to drive skillfully I would recommend not to drive at all because it’s very dangerous.

ถ้าใครขับรถไม่คล่องเนี่ยผมแนะนำอย่าขับเลยเพราะว่ามันอันตรายมาก
The sand on Kai Bae Beach is rough, with pebbles and rocks but not a lot of shells so we can run without cutting our feet.

ทรายที่หาดไก่แบ้จะมีลักษณะหยาบมีก้อนกรวดก้อนหินแต่ว่าเปลือกหอยไม่ค่อยมีนะครับวิ่งได้ไม่บาดเท้า
