Nu klapte hij met zijn vleugels, richtte zijn slanke hals op en jubelde van ganser harte

En uit het geboomte kwamen eensklaps drie prachtige witte zwanen te voorschijn
En zo bleef het roerloos liggen, terwijl de hagel door het riet snorde en er schot op schot knalde.
