In the past, Thailand and Cambodia were neighbors. เมื่อก่อนไทยกับกัมพูชาเนี่ย ก็เป็นเพื่อนบ้านกันนะคะ
Today, I will talk about Cambodia. วันนี้ดิฉันก็จะมาพูดถึงในเรื่องประเทศกัมพูชานะคะ
What are Thai people’s opinions about Cambodia? ว่าคนไทยนั้นมีความคิดเห็นกับประเทศกัมพูชาว่าอย่างไร
And they are also a Buddhist country like Thailand. แล้วเขาก็เป็นประเทศเมืองพุทธเหมือนกับเรา
Ayutthaya is the name of an old city of Thailand. อยุธยาเนี่ยเป็นชื่อเมืองเก่าของประเทศไทยนะคะ
Until...until about 1900, during 1900 A.D.. จน.. จนมาถึงประมาณน่าจะปีหนึ่งพันเก้าร้อย ในช่วงปีคริสต์ศักราชหนึ่งพันเก้าร้อยอะคะ
But during the er... Ayutthaya Kingdom. แต่มาในสมัย เอ่อ อยุธยานะคะ
as we all know, in the past การที่เราทราบกันดีว่าในสมัยก่อนเนี่ย
So, Thailand, by which I mean the Ayutthaya Kingdom... ซึ่งประเทศไทยเนี่ย ก็หมายถึงอยุธยานะคะ

Thai people will know Cambodia, by the informal version of the name Cambodia. ประเทศกัมพูชาเนี่ย คนไทยจะรู้จักในอีกชื่อหนึ่งคือประเทศเขมรนะคะ
But in Thai people’s feelings, what do they think of Cambodian people or Cambodians? แต่ถามว่าในความรู้สึกของคนไทยนั้น คิดยังไงกับคนกัมพูชาหรือว่าคนเขมร
I have been in Cambodia twice. (female speaker) ดิฉันได้มีโอกาสไปเที่ยวประเทศกัมพูชาสองครั้งค่ะ
We lost this land, losing Cambodia’s territory to France. เราเสียดินแดนตรงนี้นะคะ ในส่วนของประเทศกัมพูชาเนี่ย ให้กับประเทศฝรั่งเศสนะคะ
