What are the different types of quiz question?
You can choose the type of quiz question which you are given from the Quiz tab. Each quiz type has its own special characteristics, so its good to have a full understanding of each.

We have made a slight change to the design of the home page, replacing the previous image (of fingers on a keyboard) with the flag of the language. We thought that the flag represents more closely the site language-learning goal.

Where do I start?
The best place to start is to follow the Recommended lesson.
This can be found on the Home page and, when you are logged in, on the Online Lessons page.
On these pages you will see a Recommended lesson box that looks like this:
When you cannot break an entry down any more, stop
When you reach the end of what can be broken down, stop.
For example, the French word "maison" (house), has no further breakdown possible. There is no further useful information which can be added by breaking the word down further. Therefore leave the Literal Breakdown empty.
Breakdown until you cannot breakdown any more
You should breakdown a phrase or word until it cannot be broken down any more. If it is possible to break it down more, then you should do so.
For example, to barbecue in French is cuire au barbecue. It is important for the student that they can see what each of parts mean:
